A good friend has a child who is turning three. In lieu of another Dora the Explorer doll, I decided to make a complete dress up kit for her. There was minimal sewing involved (just the ribbon around the crown and a straight stitch to close the elastic on the tutu). Everything else was glued or tied together.
We glued princess wrapping paper onto a large boot box and added rhinestones in appropriate spots so that she could keep it as a dress up box.
Oh, I had so much fun looking at pink things! And tulle!!
Here is a shot of the unintended male fit model, who may justify his move to put me in a retirement home based on this alone.
And on the real life doll.
